The county governments that do still exist only handle minor tasks like providing courthouse maintenance and administering land records and they’re hardly equipped to handle the sudden arrival of a giant check from Washington.

Sedalia Police Reports For March 12, 2021 This article is compiled from the Sedalia Police Department reports. On the afternoon of February 25th, a motor vehicle was stopped at West 14th Street and South Carr Avenue for no registration. During the stop, a passenger was found to have an active arrest warrant out of Pettis County for Driving While Intoxicated. Don Charles Soriano Palmerin Jr., 21, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail for processing, pending a $250 cash bond.   Shortly after 2:00 a.m. Friday, Officers responded to the 600 block of North Quincy Avenue in reference to a disturbance with weapons. Officers arrived on the scene and made contact with the caller. The caller stated that her daughter s boyfriend was inside threatening her with a knife. Charges for Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree will be requested to the prosecutor. There was no further information in the report.
