OUâs Campus Activities Council held the newly named OU Dance Marathon this weekend in the first two-day event in the program s history, concluding with a gathering on the South Oval Sunday afternoon.
The annual dance marathon raises money for the Childrenâs Hospital Foundation. This year OUDM raised a total of $775,268.21 â but for OUDM Chair and Price College of Business senior, Brendan Anoatubby, this year the focus was more on the people.
âIt s not just about the money, and I think this year is just proof of that, because under circumstances that were less than ideal, we made a point to make it about the people,â Anoatubby said. âMy vision coming into this year was to create an experience for everybody who came in contact with this organization and this event to walk away with a smile on their face, and I think we did that.â
