A teen driver died in Oldham County Tuesday after crashing into a tree, authorities said.  Avery Farmer, 17, was traveling eastbound on Mt. Zion Road, or Highway 1818. A witness reported seeing the vehicle slide sideways into a curve. He was the only person in the car.  Oldham County Police, Oldham County Emergency Medical Services and South Oldham Fire were dispatched to the 3900 block of Mt. Zion Road at 5:30 p.m Tuesday. Investigators confirmed from the evidence gathered that the car was sliding laterally until striking a tree and coming to a stop.
