There were no tornadoes reported in McKean County, but straight line winds and thunder and lightning brought down some trees and knocked out some power Thursday night and early Friday
However, the community is stepping up to fill the need, according to Table board member Ron Orris.
âBecause we have an amazing community,â two businesses are donating meals and time to serve the Tableâs visitors, Orris said.
On Monday, Beefeatersâ owner Todd Hennard served meals through the side door of the restaurant. CJ Bar-B-Que will serve food for the community from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. CJ will be parked in front of the Friendship Table on East Corydon Street during that time.
Hennard will be serving meals again today from 3 to 5 p.m. through the side door of Beefeaterâs.Orris was not sure how long the Friendship Table will be closed, explaining that it will depend on how test results for the employee turn out. He said on Monday afternoon that the employee was currently being tested in Olean, N.Y.
Police report barricaded subject in Aurora

Aurora police advise avoiding the 800 block of South Kendall Avenue and Farnsworth Avenue between Simms Street and Fifth Avenue due to an ongoing barricaded subject incident, officials said.
SWAT from Kane County is on scene while Aurora officers manage traffic, according to a social media post from the Aurora Police Department. No further information was available late Monday night.
