Jeff was an elderly country fiddler working out of michigan playing barn dances and so forth, and that was pretty much the height of his musical career. What is the story you tell . The story, to tell us how america morphed into a car culture to everyone wanting to get into cars and go places. I had not known until i started researching that henry ford and Thomas Edison were at the forefront of this. Idea come to you for telling the story at this time . This is my 22nd book. What i do when i try to do when i write nonfiction books is to go everywhere where the people i write about went. Id rather drive and that way you really get a sense of place. Now, police just gave us an update on the suspects condition a short time ago. Abc seven news south bay reporter zach fuentes joins us live from the san jose bureau with the new details. Zach yeah. That suspect is still hospitalized in critical condition. No one else was injured in this shooting that police were called to just after 410 yesterday afternoon. Now, San Jose Police say they were responding to a call that a man was actively shooting a gun from a vehicle behind an apartment complex. The video, released just this afternoon, shows what police say is the suspect shooting at two officers who responded. And they say he then reloaded his firearm and went to a different area of the apartment complex. The officers were still hearing gunfire and then encountered him once again. Afternoon. This morning, the only place that is reporting fog right now is Half Moon Bay. Everybody else is seeing clear skies out there. And our exploratorium camera is confirming that this morning we are cloud free over the city. Temperatures right now in our coolest spots were in the 40s to begin in sonoma, napa at 48, low to mid 50s. Currently around the bay shoreline. So if youre out over the next 2 to 3 hours, the light jacket is needed. But those temperatures warm fast today. So looking at the coast we have a little bit of cloud cover right now. Giving way to sunshine. Temperatures are mild in the low 60s today, but around the bay shoreline its going to be a mild morning leading to a warm afternoon.
