As health care and frontline workers across the state began rolling up their sleeves for the COVID-19 vaccine this week, shots for Palm Beach paramedics and police won t be far behind perhaps arriving in a week or two, Fire Chief Darrel Donatto said Tuesday.
But what Donatto is looking forward to just as much, if not more, is the next phase of vaccinations, which could inoculate roughly half of the town s population.
Florida s emergency managers have told local authorities that Phase 2, as it s called, will likely begin in late January or early February, Donatto said. In that phase, those older than 65 and those with underlying health conditions qualify for the vaccine.
