The Dispatch
Three Davidson County food pantries have received grants from the EnergyUnited Foundation to help feed county residents in need.
The West Davidson Food Pantry and Clothing Closet in Reeds, Pastor s Pantry in Lexington and the South Davidson Family Resource Center in Denton each received checks for $7,277. EnergyUnited did an in-person check presentation at only one of the three local pantries. The other two received their checks via mail, said Adam Martin, communications specialist for EnergyUnited.
The $7,277 grants are part of the company s new Drive to Shine one awarded last week. In total, EnergyUnited donated $101.838.47 to 25 food pantries in 18 counties in its service area. A virtual Zoom call was held Friday with the food pantries that did not receive an in-person check presentation to celebrate the donation.
