There were reports of large numbers visiting locations such as Nairn Beach, Loch Morlich, ski resorts, Rosemarkie and various playparks. Highland councillors said they hoped the public were acting responsibly when out, and convener Bill Lobban, whose constituency includes the Cairngorms and its popular Loch Morlich, urged caution, saying: “Hopefully the end is in sight for the restrictions which have had a huge impact on our daily lives and has decimated our economy.
