The temporary closure will allow for mulch and stone to be replenished on trail surfaces which is necessary to help with trail flooding in the spring and maintain the safety of the trail system for users.
Ojibway Park will be closed to the public for maintenance from Wednesday, January 27th, through Friday, January 29th, 2021 from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm each day.
The closure will allow staff to replenish mulch on trail surfaces, which is necessary to maintain the safety of the trail system for users. This maintenance is ideal during the winter months when the ground is frozen and vulnerable wildlife are hibernating.
Other City-owned natural areas to explore include Black Oak Heritage Park, Tallgrass Prairie Heritage Park, Spring Garden Natural Area, Oakwood Natural Area, South Cameron Natural Area and Little River Corridor.
