Woman wakes to father raping her in living room

The court heard on August 26, 2020, the defendant, who can t be named for legal reasons, and the complainant consumed alcohol and cannabis and at 10pm the complainant went to sleep on a mattress in the defendants living room. The complainant woke the following morning to find the defendant behind her on the mattress with his penis inside her vagina pushing into her from behind. After some comments by the complainant, she got up and ran out the door. She ran to her grandmother s house and made a complaint, she was in a distressed condition and her grandmother flagged down a police car.

Police charge 21-year-old over sudden death of Murgon infant

Premium Content Subscriber only Detectives have charged a 21-year-old woman with manslaughter following investigations into the death of a seven-month-old baby girl in Murgon last week. Around 9.30am on February 5, emergency services were called to a residence where CPR had already commenced on the baby girl after she was found unresponsive. The baby girl was transported to hospital where she died a short time later. Man downs bottles of wine, smashes windows, runs from cops

Premium Content Subscriber only A 31-year-old Kingaroy man found himself in court after consuming two bottles of wine, leading police on a chase through Kingaroy and smashing three glass paned windows. Rory William Hockins pleaded guilty to one count of committing public nuisance and two counts of wilful damage at Kingaroy Magistrates Court. On September 24 at 10.50pm police observed Hockins yelling and screaming before running down Short Street, knocking over the police station rubbish bin, running through the RSL car park knocking over another bin and telling police he wanted to be arrested because he had been breaking windows. The two wilful damage charges were from 10 and 11 September where he smashed three glass paned windows.
