SAN ANGELO A man died late Wednesday night after his motorcycle crashed into a vehicle, according to a police news release.
About 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2021, police responded to a motorcycle crash at the intersection of West Avenue L and South Bryant Boulevard. Officers found an unresponsive man receiving CPR from a bystander, according to the release.
Officers tried to render aid, apply a CAT Tourniquet and continued CPR, but the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace Eddie Howard. The man was identified as Casey Wood, 33, according to the release.
A preliminary investigation revealed Wood was traveling north at a high rate of speed in the 1600 block of South Bryant Boulevard on a 2009 Yamaha YZF motorcycle, records state. The Yamaha crashed into a white 2016 Dodge Charger, which was turning eastbound at the intersection at West Avenue L from South Bryant Boulevard, according to the release.
