Protesters have disrupted a taxpayer-funded weapons expo held in Brisbane, arguing companies involved are “complicit in crimes against humanity”.
During the protest of the Land Forces expo at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on Tuesday, two people were arrested for wilful damage and four for public nuisance.

The proposed laws would cap rent increases to once every two years and by no more than inflation per year, including if there is a period for which the property is not rented or if current tenants move out and new tenants enter on a new lease. Member for South Brisbane Amy MacMahon said the Palaszczuk government had dragged their feet on rental reforms and urgent action was needed to protect desperate renters.
