Shay Austin Dontmix is charged with one count of felony criminal endangerment and one misdemeanor count from fleeing or eluding a peace officer.
Court documents state that on March 30 Yellowstone County Sheriff s Office (YCSO) Deputy Sennett grew suspicious of a white pickup at the Motel 6 in Billings. He said the driver of the pickup blocked the parking lot, then drove through it in a roundabout manner. The driver, later identified as Dontmix, was reported to pick up a black backpack from the parking lot and put something in it. A passenger of the pickup was also identified as Keyonna Hogan. Deputy Sennett said he observed that Dontmix would not exit the parking lot in his pickup until Deputy Sennett left.Â
