NSW) Government published the NSW Net Zero Industry and Innovation Program (
Program) as part of the NSW Net Zero Plan Stage 1: 2020-2030, which aims to achieve a 35% reduction in emissions compared to 2005 levels. AU$750 million will be invested under the Program by 2030 to help realise that aim.
The Program has three areas of focus:
Clean Technology Innovation - supporting the development of emerging clean technologies, including hydrogen. AU$195 million has been earmarked for this area.
New Low Carbon Industry Foundations - creating the foundations for low emissions industries by building infrastructure and expanding the capability of supply chains. AU$175 million in funding has been allocated for this objective.

Supporting South Australian veterans & their families
Veterans and their families are set to benefit from the new Repat Veteran Wellbeing Centre opening today within the Daw Park Repatriation Health Precinct, bringing together ex-service community services and government support for health and wellbeing into one hub.
Minister for Veterans’ Affairs Darren Chester said the Repat Veteran Wellbeing Centre is a welcome addition to the world-class system of support we have in Australia for veterans and their families.
“The Veteran Wellbeing Centre, located within the Repatriation Health Precinct, will bring together a range of services, including support from Open Arms – Veterans & Families Counselling, Plympton Veterans Centre, RSL South Australia and Soldier On,” Mr Chester said.

Major resurfacing works to commence on SE Freeway
The Department of Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) is undertaking major pavement rehabilitation works on the South Eastern Freeway between the Toll Gate and the Crafers interchange. The works involve removing around 300mm of existing pavement and replacing it with new asphalt.
This $35 million project is jointly funded (80:20) by the Australian and South Australian Governments under the South Eastern Freeway Pavement Rehabilitation Stimulus 2.
Major asphalting works such as these were last undertaken on this section of freeway over 20 years ago. The works are to ensure the long term safety and integrity of the freeway for all road users.
The Marshall and Morrison Governments are fulfilling their commitment to build congestion busting infrastructure with the design options being released.
