Energy harvesting, an environmentally beneficial technique, goes beyond solar and Sir C. V. Raman, an Indian physicist, and his colleague K. S. Krishnan discovered in 1928 that when light interacts with matter, sections of the scattered light change in energy owing to contact with molecular vibrations, resulting in Raman scattering.
