Live Music: Catching Up with Myron Hyman
Steve Wong, Times-News correspondent
“I love to play both places big and small,” he said. “Every gig is a new adventure.”
At 63, he is unassuming and easily fits in the WNC culture. You might not ever guess he has played with some big name musicians and even had his original music performed for the likes of actress Calista Flockhart at the 100th episode party of the comedy series Ally McBeal (1997-2002).
“That was such a fun show to work on,” Hyman said. “I was in charge of the lighting. On that show every week there was the bar scene, and we got some great acts in there. One day a musician was late and one of the producers, Steve Robin, asked me to sit in on the drums. Jane Krakowski was singing. I am not a drummer but could hold a beat. Right before we were going to film, the drummer showed up, (and) that was the end of my drumming career.
we re getting in the ballpark. if he definitely wants to be the greatest infrastructure country in the world, we re definitely looking at $3 trillion or up. there is going to be a big price tag. i have to say, trump is absolutely right about that, it s a disgrace. i don t go anywhere by car, train, air where i don t have anxiety and stress about what s going to go wrong. the new york area alone could soak up practically $1 trillion of this. but as you pointed out, it should be spread all over america. we can do a tremendous amount with high-speed trains. chicago is a hub connecting a lot of those midwestern cities with these magnetic trains, a magnetic train, connecting washington and new york. and one thing i would say to these deficit hawks who are always counting their pennies, we re not throwing this money away like we have on so many projects. it s an investment, a sound investment in america s future, in economic growth. they re always saying, cut
education. i have very little tolerance for people who tell me that they graduate with $200,000 of debtor even $80,000 of debt. because there s no reason for that. ryan and fox aren t the only ones dismissive of why so many young men and women feel the need to take on debt. here s the man they hope will be the leader of the free world on the topic. i know it would be popular to say i ll give you government money to make sure to pay for your college. i won t promise that. what i ll tell you, shom around, get a good price. back with us now, professor dice object. one of rick santorum s elite snobs. a student loan is quite oxley a sound investment for the country. why are so many business-mined republicans there is a correlation between getting a good education and getting a good job and therefore contributing to the economy which is what the republicans claim they want to
