Residents have been left frustrated at proposed plans to replace parking bays with a taxi waiting area. Watford Borough Council is considering making the move in Vicarage Road and is consulting with homeowners over the proposals. Such a move would see two parking bays outside the Watford FC stadium replaced with a taxi rank. Mayor of Watford Peter Taylor said the move is being proposed in the area as it would “be able to serve conference facilities at Vicarage Road Stadium and Watford General Hospital”. But some residents have been left unhappy with the proposal, saying that there are already issues with parking.
