democrats and working people have now become republicans and i don t think the democrats have totally accepted that change and you have to accept it before you can figure out how to fix it and how to win people back, but that s what s going on. kennedy: i want to get your take, money doesn t necessarily by elections anymore. and jon ossoff s campaign in georgia. what is the answer? marie: every to my party loses a big election, you soul search. the big take away and 2012 is to get more hispanic votes and then donald trump one. i do think you re absolutely right. there has been a shift particularly among union leadership. i do think hillary s campaign did not understand that. i do think you can do both, you can appeal to both progressives at meghan: you can t do it
peaceful demonstrations. is there a new movement do you think today relates a movement? i heard the previous panel comparing it to the tea party movement. is the head of the movement hillary clinton or hillary clinton s protege or is it bernie sanders or his protege? does the bernie sanders wing or the elizabeth warren wing take over. i think it s a soul search that will create significant problems for the coalition the democrats have. i don t think there s a head of the democratic party right now. i presume most of these peaceful marchers are mostly democrats. and i think they re freelancing. they re looking for a leader. that can create significant
based on the job that he does once he actually is in power. so, so one thing is for sure, patricia, democrats will continue to soul search and try to figure out how they got it so strong this time around. president obama gave an interview to npr and he said democrats didn t show up in the states that they needed to be in. and he s talking about hillary clinton. listen. oftentimes younger voertz, mine or voters, democratic voters are clustered in urban areas. and on the coasts. and on the coasts. so as a consequence you ve got a situation where there are not only entire states but also big chunks of states where if we re not showing up, if we re not in there making an argument, then then we re going to lose. and we can lose badly, and that s what happened in this election. oh, and democrats did lose badly, not badly not just at the
