Summary
Breaking tradition. Commercial banks and money lenders that have previously pitched camp at MPs’ swearing-in functions were not in sight at this year’s event. Sources later said they were not allowed within the vicinity because of Covid-19 SOPs.

What a week it has been for Parliament!
The House oversaw the swearing-in of all the 529 lawmakers at Parliament’s south wing parking lot. The four-day ceremony, which took place from May 17 to 20, was a mixture of business, entertainment and fashion.

Summary
This was not the first time he was showing up for a public event with his two wives. Mr Okia says he has previously gone for other social gatherings with them.
The rivalry, caught on camera, began as soon as Mr Moses Okia was called up to take oaths of office and allegiance.
