This year’s annual Hot List of the best new hotels from around the world is a story of resilience. Despite enormous hardship in the travel industry, exceptional properties have continued to open across the globe (nearly a thousand last year in the U.S. alone). As always with this endeavor, each of the 69 picks on this year’s list was safely vetted by our international network of correspondents. Dusit Thani Maldives, a luxury Thai-inspired resort on Mudhdhoo Island in Baa Atoll, is set to celebrate the arrival spring with a calendar of special events honouring different festivals from around the world, such as Holi, Songkran and Easter, with dining, dancing, and other memorable experiences for guests to enjoy.
The fun begins on Sunday 28 March with a beach party to mark the Hindu festival of Holi, complete with colourful powder, delicious food and music. Guests are invited to sample authentic flavours and a joyful celebration of life to start the season.
In anticipation of Easter Week, the resort welcomes Chef Vreni Giger from Switzerland for a selection of special culinary events.
