Aladdin, at odds of 6-1, upset race favourite The Light Speed, who was gunning for his fourth straight win, on Sunday, June 11 at Hippodrome 3R in the opening round of the Quebec-Bred Series.
With sunny skies and 70 degrees, the racing conditions were perfect at Hippodrome 3R on Friday (Sept. 2) for horses that like racing on the front-end. Such was the case in both co-feature races and in five of the 10 races on the card.
Parked out first-over from the start of the race, National Debt seemingly toyed with the field in capturing the $7,000 Preferred 1 & 2 Handicap Pace at Hippodrome 3R on Sunday, July 10.
In a wild photo finish that saw the race favourite break stride and nearly come back to win, Bonfire Bash collected the glory in barely winning the $6,000 Preferred 2 & 3 Handicap Trot on Friday (July 8) at Hippodrome 3R.
