Carrie Knapp is a Milwaukee resident whose daughter’s Kia was stolen from the Versiti Blood Center parking lot on Marquette’s campus. After the car was stolen, they reported the incident to MUPD.
After graduating with a degree in exercise physiology last year, he worked as a strength and conditioning coach in the NFL. Recently, he’s decided to embark on a new adventure: Writing a book.
Assistant chief Jeff Kranz said MUPD discovered earlier this year that three individuals accounted for hundreds of calls in a one-year period, and they decided they needed another approach to address this issue.
The marker is located in the Eckstein Commons in the center of campus. The marker is a group of metal plates wrapped around a birch tree that’s native to Wisconsin. Artist Kristelle M. Ulrich engraved the metal with images of nature and animals important to the tribes of Wisconsin.
La Rosa and his friends approached Nathaniel Romano, an assistant director for liturgical programs, and presented their concern, and Campus Ministry took initiative to help these students create a Saturday morning mass.
