As she gets into her protective suit, Sophia Resciniti is preparing to do something she loves.
“The key here is to zip up. Literally. Make sure that every little hole is closed up,” said Resciniti, who is a beekeeper in her downtime. Her hives are her sanctuary.
If you haven’t figured it out by now, Resciniti has a love for bees. But you may recognize her as president of the Binghamton City Council.

Sophia Resciniti brought the beekeeping hobby over from Greece
