Five girls made Perham scouting history on Feb. 25 when they became the first official Perham Girl Troop 321, a program of Scouts BSA (formerly the Boy Scouts). Girl Troop 321 is the first troop of its kind in Perham and the first one of its district the Northern Sky district, which includes a few counties in western Minnesota and a dozen more in North Dakota.
Cub Scouts get on the fast track at annual pinewood derby
The 2021 annual Cub Scout pinewood derby was held in a modified format this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2021 Cub Scout pinewood derby was held in a modified format this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year, the event was held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16, with each group having an hour to register, weigh-in, race and receive awards.
