Oklahoma s No. 1-ranked softball team was given its toughest test of the season last weekend, but it still came away with a ninth consecutive Big 12 regular-season championship by defeating No. 7 Oklahoma State on Saturday and Sunday in Stillwater.
OSU bested the Sooners on Friday snapping OU s 57-game regular season win streak in the Big 12 and moved within one victory of winning the conference title itself.
But OU came back with a 6-4 win on Saturday and 11-8 triumph on Sunday. Both OU victories did not come easy. OSU brought the winning run to the plate in the final inning of Saturday s game, and the Cowgirls rallied back from a 9-1 deficit to make it a tight fit on Sunday.
