With loadshedding back on the cards for South Africans and in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, Drakenstein Municipality has made arrangements for Paarl Hospital and Sonstraal Hospital to receive uninterrupted power supply when loadshedding is implemented.
According to the Municipality this decision was made in the interest of the patients at these hospitals.
This means that certain areas including Paarl CBD and a section of Dal Josaphat will to a large extent also not be affected by loadshedding.
Residents in these areas can however still help to lessen the load by using less appliances during the loadshedding time slots.
