Abbott Construction Co. of Asheville obtained a building permit for a $638,000 2,465-square-foot renovation at 2547 Chimney Rock Road to add new partitions, ceiling and floor finishes and install new equipment. Land records show the 1.4-acre site is owned by Sonja D. Waddell and valued on the tax books at $1.2 million. The new store is the second one in the city after the one at 754 Upward Road.
