Outstanding Caregiver Earns $5,000 Award from Assisted Living Services Written by Alisa Gaudiosi
Christmas came in the Spring for caregiver Sonia Hernandez of Meriden when she was presented with a $5,000 check from employer Assisted Living Services, Inc. for providing exceptional client care for the month of December 2020. Although the Platinum Caregiver Award ceremony was delayed due to COVID 19, the surprise was just as sweet on April 7, 2021. Hernandez covered her face and sobbed tears of joy and shock when the company’s team recognized her with the homecare agency’s most prestigious distinction at her client’s home in Meriden.
Hernandez received a stellar review from her clients’ daughter, Ann Dangher of Glastonbury, Connecticut, who is extremely appreciative of the care provided to her Mom and Dad. “What this woman does for me is absolutely amazing. She’s a lifesaver. She goes above and beyond in every way.”
