GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Four learners from the Eden / Karoo district excelled with their science projects at the virtual award ceremony for the Eskom Expo for Young Scientists competition. Entering as a team, Nosiphiwe Nosi and Lelethu Ngqele (Grade 11) of Murray High School in KwaNokuthula, Plettenberg Bay, received gold for their project, Smart Sanitary Pad, under the category Biomedical and Medica Science. Chloe Parry (Grade 10) at Bridgton Secondary School in Oudtshoorn received bronze for her project, Chewing equals Brain Power, under the category Social Sciences, and Thimna Sijama (Grade 9), also from Murray High School, won bronze under the category Social Sciences with her project, Water Solutions.
