Peru has been experiencing a political crisis for several years, only small periods of stability are needed so that the Peruvian reality itself reminds us of its need for change.

10:51 | Lima, Jan. 23. Peruvian Prime Minister Violeta Bermudez affirmed that general elections have already been called, when asked about Somos Peru political party s request to postpone them claiming an increase in COVID-19 infections.
According to the high-ranking official, the Executive Branch has held meetings with representatives of electoral organizations to discuss the process, and the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) has adopted seven protocols to guarantee safety during the elections.
Likewise, the Cabinet chief stated that support of police and the armed forces will be available in order to ensure safety during the voting process.
