COCOMI will be organising the ‘365 days of Chin Kuki Narco Terrorist Aggression in Manipur’ on May 3 at Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen, Palace Compound, Imphal to discuss the crisis.
The Indigenous Tribal Leader’s Forum (ITLF) and those who were involved while burning down the government offices in Churachandpur should be booked within seven days, COCOMI coordinator said.
The Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity raised the demand for a change in guard at the Unified Command, currently headed by state security adviser Kuldiep Singh, because the existing security arrangements in the state have 'undeniably failed' and the role of the security adviser is 'utterly ineffective'
Indigenous Tribal Leaders Forum (ITLF) on Wednesday organised a massive protests rally in Manipurs Churachandpur demanding fulfilments of its core demand of separate administration. Ginza Vualzong, spokesperson, ITLF said, "It has been over six months, and nothing has been done on our demand of separate administration from Manipur government so we of our voice is not heard just within couple of weeks we will set up our self-government, weather Centre recognises it or not we will go ahead. As in a state or union territory, we will set up a self-government that will look into all matters in the Kuki-Zo areas, we have to do this since our voice has not been heard.”
