Ahmedabad: Covid test in a medical officer returned presence of cancer and tuberculosis. The doctor had got Covid in May as she went to houses convincing Covid patients to get admitted in hospitals and prevent it from spreading.
Dr Rupal Manghani had a huge shock when a CT scan done to check the effect of Covid in her lungs found a breast tumour which was malignant. The one glimmer of hope was that the breast cancer was in the first stage, according to a Times of India report. The doctor got her breast removed after recovering from both Covid and cancer and she was back at work, sending teams to the Covid-affected people.
