The society released the following statement: We are so grateful to Ghalib Lalani of Gyaan Foods, LLC for choosing to support the animals that depend on us for their care. This gift will help 39 cats and 39 dogs get a second chance and the opportunity to find their loving forever home. Many of our shelter pups were lucky enough to get Pup Cups when they went on special day trips with our volunteers and Foster Coordinator through our Foster Field Trip Program. It is a new program that we have instituted where volunteers take a shelter dog for a few hours, a day or overnight to get them out of the shelter. This way we learn more about how they react to everyday life occurrences. We are so grateful for our volunteers for helping our dogs learn how to interact with people and other animals as well as experience new things. The pups definitely enjoyed their trips to the Somersworth Dairy Queen and the Pup Cups that they were given!
