Health department reports first COVID-19 deaths in Warren since July

Data shared by the Middle-Brook Regional Health Department indicates two more Warren residents have died from the COVID-19 virus, the first coronavirus-related deaths in the township since July. Additional deaths were added to a data table shared on the Warren Township municipal website on Wednesday, Dec. 16, and Monday, Dec. 28. A total of 18 deaths have been reported in the township as of Dec. 28. The figures are frequently subject to revision, local officials have stressed, as health department officials “scrub” the data to confirm whether COVID-19 patients are in fact residents of the town. The total number of confirmed cases reported in any town are likely significantly lower than the actual number of cases, as only a certain number of COVID-19 patients get tested.
