out. a gentlemen who lives across the street grabbing his own weapon and coming out into the street. somebody driving by, law enforcement believe those good samaritans could have saved additional lives and from an investigative standpoint, they show up preparing to die. this shooter was hoping to escape. he was wearing a bullet resistant vest and metal plate ready for battle of sorts. it seems he expected or prepared to escape. the other thing on the video, the police talked about he was able to move freely around the church. maybe some of that video captured that and some is based on witnesses, but they have a good indication of how he moved around inside the church. appreciate the insights which is just beginning in many ways. we will bring you the details. president trump gives his snap judgment on the shooting in texas. critics call it a double standard. okay folks!
bollards up there, can t drive a truck through it, times square another example, columbus circle. it can be done. would be very difficult. we saw an example last year of somebody driving into times square. it is harder to do that that sort of thing. you can t pull your car up and get into the pedestrian areas without doing a great deal of damage. our city, ironically, the pedestrianization of the city because of the need to get traffic, to reduce traffic fatalities, created times square which is basically a hard target at this point. there are bollards there. and you can t any longer drive through there. this may be, in fact, why the guy picked the west side rather than midtown. it s certainly harder to do it in times square. i agree totally with jim. you can t protect everything but doesn t mean you can t up the game a little bit or significantly. some will be with traffic engineering, some will be security designs. flowing, traffic flows, calming traffic, slowing it down. there are

but this is a sentence enhancement because the victim was pregnant. interestingly, had this woman been sufficiently pregnant that this was a viable fetus, this defendant when charged would be eligible for the death penalty. in this instance i think because she was pregnant, i m not sure you have to show intelligent. i d argue that you don t. it s a sentence enhancement. if i shoot somebody driving in a car and they run into five other people and kill em, you don t have to show that i intended to kill them, and those are the arguments you have to make as a prosecutor. heather: and, bob, you dealt with a case before that had a similar issue, correct? yeah, absolutely. listen, i prosecuted half of my career, and homicide was pretty much what i did. i had a case in which a woman was pregnant, and she had gasoline poured on her, set on fire and was killed in front of her 10-year-old daughter, but she was pregnant at the time. we tried very hard to get that evidence of the pregnancy in. i
