The Google Pixel 5 first hit shelves back in October, and not long after that users started reporting an incredibly annoying issue. On both the Google Support Forums and on Reddit Pixel 5 users have reported a frustrating issue with the handset s volume control. Even on low settings the Pixel 5 reportedly plays notification sounds very loud, while the volume level when playing video content can suddenly drop off.

Some Pixel 5 owners have had to contend with a couple of audio issues on their devices, including system sounds that play at max volume all the time. As
Android Police reported back in December, there’s a bug causing the device to play audio like touch and screenshot sounds, dialer tones and camera clicks at the loudest volume possible even if users turn the volume down. Now, Google has rolled out a fix for the issue as part of the Pixel’s January update.
One of the patches that came with the January update brings “improvements for volume level of system sounds” on the Pixel 5, according to Google’s notes.

While another wrote: Compass, proximity, accelerator, barometer etc all sensors stop working. I checked on a app which shows info for all sensors, there are only WiFi, battery and GPS. Also in google map, there s no compass arrow. Have tried reboot and in safe mode, nothing improved.
The latest batch of sensor issues sound very similar to the previous Pixel problem, which was caused by a corruption of the Pixel s persist partition.
Thankfully, Google has said the recently released December 2020 update fixes a number of sensor related Pixel issues.
In the aftermath of this patch being rolled out, some Pixel 5 fans writing on Google Support Community threads said the patch resolved the issues they were encountering.
