A large sand pit, a fort fashioned from sticks, a bird's nest slide and a log climbing structure are the main elements of a new outdoor play space in Boulder for preschool children.
The new Lafayette Nature Center, which is about a mile from Alicia Sanchez Elementary, is expected to cost about $5.5 million. A groundbreaking was held this week, while an opening date is set for June 2024.
