Political leaders in Somalia Thursday agreed to hold free, fair and inclusive elections within 60 days, ending a long-running political stalemate in the Horn of Africa country.
Following four-day negotiations in the capital Mogadishu, Somalia s Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble, five regional leaders and the mayor of Mogadishu signed an election agreement.
Somalia on Monday received its first shipment of 300,000 doses of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine, destined for frontline workers and those most at risk from Covid-19, the government said in a statement.

A suicide bomber blew himself up near a busy shopping mall and a police station in the Somali capital Mogadishu on Tuesday, officials said, with no casualties as yet confirmed.
-A man blew himself up between the Mogadishu Mall and the Hamar Weyne District Police Station in Mogadishu- said Ismail Mukhtar Oronjo, spokesman for the Information Ministry.
