It wasn t long ago that the Rose City s star was rising, but now we re in the middle of the fight for the soul of Portland.
A year ago, in March 2020, the pandemic forced us all to stay home and shelter in place. Streets emptied and stores closed. It affected not just our city, but every city. However, it was the months following the COVID shutdown that left Portland s reputation bruised.
