On Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 8:07 a.m., police, fire and rescue personnel from Calvert and St. Mary's responded to the Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge, for the reported suicidal subject.
On Sunday, January 23, 2022, at approximately 12:35 p.m., police were dispatched to the top of the Gov. Thomas Johnson Bridge for the reported possible suicidal subject.

The Department of Parks & Recreation, Natural Resources Division, advises residents and visitors that the Solomons Boat Ramp and Fishing Pier parking lot will be temporarily closed for an estimated seven days of milling, repaving and striping beginning on or around Monday, April 12, 2021.
Work will be conducted on weekdays only and access to the boat ramp and fishing pier will be restricted during portions of the parking lot closure.
