This is the car that Philadelphia Police say is tied to that hitandrun. The car was being brought out of an auto body shaum in frazier. The owner of the shop told us off camera that a woman brought the car in on november 19th. That is the day after the crash that killed powell. Police say she was heading home from school when the driver hit her and her brother and did not stop. This all happened near the intersection of 63rd and lansdowne in the overbrook session. The past days has been a public plea from the girls mother and police. Reward money has hit 45,000. That suspect was brought here to Police Headquarters last month. What theyre waiting for is an arraignment. And that is not scheduled to happen until sometime later this morning. This call came in around 7 30 tonight. Were told that police were responding to shots fired in the area. They say they see a suspect get into a nissan and then pull off. The spot where the car pulled off from had glass around it. Police then begin to pursue that car. That say the car doesnt stop along the way the suspects hit four cars before wrecking at 52nd and locust. One was a woman driving across the intersection as we mentioned she was hit by both suspects as she was driving in her car taken to the hospital. Were told she was pronounced dead around 8 00 oclock tonight. The suspects were taken into custody with minor injuries. Police also say they found a 9millimeter gun in that us in suspects car.
