Halifax-based utility Emera Inc. has been given "final cost" approval to recover $1.7 billion from Nova Scotia Power customers for the Maritime Link megaproject, which was built to deliver hydroelectricity from the Muskrat Falls project in Labrador.
Halifax-based Emera is reporting a dramatic and timely increase in the amount of Muskrat Falls hydroelectricity flowing from Newfoundland into Nova Scotia over the Maritime Link.
All four generating units from Muskrat Falls are now ready for service and will supplement existing power sources in Newfoundland and Labrador this winter. Customers will see their bills increase some time in 2022
