A MOLD club has donated hundreds of pounds to a good cause following a fundraising activity. In March last year the annual International Quiz of the Rotary Club of Mold was held in support of Solar Aid. The small registered charity provides simple, easy to use solar lighting equipment for the benefit of rural communities in Malawi and Zambia. A spokesman for the club said: Millions of people in Sub Saharan Africa have to rely on dangerous, expensive and polluting ways to light their homes. For each £4 raised Solar Aid can sell and distribute solar lights in remote locations, providing clean, safe and affordable light.
