LAHORE: Addressing the decades-old issue of non-registration of public complaints, the Punjab police department has integrated the 15 calls with the police station record management system (PSRMS).
IGP Inam Ghani on Tuesday inaugurated the innovative scheme to ensure 100pc free registration of cases in all the police stations of the province. Senior police officers attended the inaugural ceremony which was arranged to highlight the salient features of the initiative.
“The IGP Punjab has inaugurated an intervention which will convert the 15 call units into a written entry in real time in the daily diary,” Punjab DIG Operations Sohail Akhtar Sukhera said. He, along with Punjab DIG Information and Technology (IT) Waqas Nazir, spoke to media to explain the benefits of the new system/scheme for the common citizens. Lahore, December 23, 2020 (PPI-OT): Inspector General of Police Punjab Inam Ghani has said that RPOs, DPOs should not only formulate security plans under their supervision for the protection of Christian places of worship across the province on Christmas Eve but also ensure proper checking of security duty of sensitive churches in the field and also pay special attention to the efficient use of modern technology in security arrangements. He added that full use should be made of CCTV cameras, metal detectors and walk-through gates for the security of A-category churches, while additional personnel should be deployed for the security of places of worship and parks besides Christian places of worship.
