why would the republicans be so dogmatic about things that don t have the populous view? paul ryan believes this stuff. he believes that society shouldn t have this sort of safety net. he encourages or requires his staff to read the works of ian rand who believes everybody for him or herself, period. he thinks that s a good thing and so he s partly motivated not by so much by desire to reduce the deficit as to restructure the society in a way that he thinks is a better way for society to run. most people would disagree with that. that s what he believes.
