Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward officials said Monday in a deputation to Belleville council they have reached the $3.6 million mark or 72 per cent of their $5 million It Takes Heart fundraising goal to build a new animal shelter now under construction on Wallbridge-Loyalist Road.
