Havana, Apr 19 (Prensa Latina) The 8th Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) ends today after four days of work in which the socialist course of Cuba was reaffirmed and the model and guidelines for this endeavor were updated. The Central Committee, elected yesterday, will hold its first meeting on Monday and will be in charge of electing the main positions within the PCC for the 2021-2026 period. Raul Castro, current first secretary of the Party, announced that he will step down from this position.
