As unemployment in Lithuania keeps rising, Social Security Minister Monika Navickienė vows to reorganise the country s Employment Service.
“The reorganisation of the Employment Service is the key item on our agenda,” the minister said in an interview with BNS.
Navickienė says she will seek to ensure that only people with real motivation to look for work would register with the Employment Service.
Moreover, there are plans to upgrade the agency s information system, she says, and to create a ‘dating site’ to match up job seekers and employers.
