AKIPRESS.COM - Sinopharm coronavirus vaccines were delivered to the regions of Kyrgyzstan last night, Minister of Health and Social Development Alymkadyr Beishenaliev said.
1.250 million doses of Sinopharm vaccine were delivered to Kyrgyzstan on July 11. Distribution of doses between the regions depends upon the region population and daily coronavirus cases there. 747 vaccination points were opened and are functioning across the country now, the Health Minister said.
Vaccination points will be also opened in private clinics, shopping centers, movie theaters, he added. Only vaccination will stop coronavirus, Health Minister Beishenaliev said and urged all citizens to get vaccinated.

You see, we have not that much daily cases in Issyk-Kul region, additional hospital beds were prepared there, the Health Minister stated.

Kyrgyzstan hopes to receive vaccines through COVAX program in mid-August
AKIPRESS.COM - Hopefully, Kyrgyzstan will receive vaccines through COVAX program in mid-August, Minister of Health and Social Development Alymkadyr Beishenaliev said.
He reminded Kyrgyzstan joined this program in September 2020. We submitted the national vaccination program. We could receive donation of vaccines for 20% of country population, which are 2.6 million doses. We were supposed to receive vaccines from India. But we were rejected after India said it lacks vaccines itself, the Health Minister said.
Kyrgyzstan then asked vaccines from South Korea, since they have a plant producing AstraZeneca vaccines. But South Korea said they do not have enough either, the Health Minister said.
