because of how, the way in which he came forward. right. so flynn seems to have done what every cooperator person who wants to cooperate and benefit from that cooperation should do. he cooperated early and fully and truthfully. and, you know, there s all these sayings, you can t cooperate halfway, kind of like you can t be half away pregnant. once you put one foot in, you better put two feet in or you ll be in bigger trouble than you were before. meanwhile, paul manafort dipping his toe in the water i put cohen somewhere in the middle. we really have a spectrum here. flynn looks like he got an a plu plus. cohen is somewhere in the middle with a b minus. he seems to have been more fully cooperating with one investigation, mueller s. and one point on cohen, i would say, is the southern district s disappointment with him and

flynn has been extremely quiet. there have been a number of delays in this sentencing, which is consistent with his cooperating and the necessity of that cooperation continuing. does that make him all the more intriguing here? i mean, a year is a long time. absolutely. you might even say flynn-triguing. what that means we re going to learn today is certain adjectives that mueller attaches to this cooperation. is it extensive? is it important? is it critical? is it useless? is it valuable? so even if he does not, and i agree with chuck that he will not, you know, detail the precise things that michael flynn has said and how he means to use them in future prosecutions or cases, i do think we re going to learn a lot
you have followed as closely as anybody how robert mueller operates. what s his plan over the course of this week with these filings? what does he want to accomplish, and what does he want to hold back? so anybody who purports to tell you what bob mueller s plan is, is talking beyond what they know. and i m not going to do that. i do think we will learn, with chuck s caution in mind, some important things in this flynn filing today. they are the following. so flynn pled after, you know, back earlier in the year. then he basically vanished. unlike george papadopoulos, who spent a lot of time inventing conspiracy theories about the origins of the investigation. unlike manafort, whose relationship with the investigation kind of blew up after he pled and cooperated.
